Currently, SREHUP is working tirelessly on a new initiative that will allow us to house individuals experiencing homelessness and their pets in a village of tiny homes. While we work to build this village, we will be volunteering in a different capacity than in past years by partnering with Families Forward Philadelphia.
If you are interested in volunteering with us this year, please sign up HERE for a shift that works best for you!
There is one volunteer shift from 6:00 – 8:00 every night of the week (please try to arrive a little early for set up). Dinner will be served during this time and activities will be done as a group. Although all meals will be provided, volunteers which helps us to how to find home cleaning services spring tx are welcome to bring STORE BOUGHT desserts if they so desire (homemade food items are, unfortunately, prohibited). There are approximately 185 people at the shelter, 113 of whom are children. Please feel free to bring games, arts and crafts, or projects to work on with the children, referencing the activities schedule as shown below:
- Monday: Arts and Crafts Night
- Tuesday: Tutoring Night
- Wednesday: Fitness Night
- Thursday: Game Night
- Friday – Sunday: Flexible days with nothing scheduled. Please feel free to come prepared to do any activities you’d like!
Volunteers are encouraged to come prepared to help with homework, play games, or do group activities. Please reference your night and bring appropriate games/craft ideas as you are able! There will always be leadership on site to guide you if you have any questions.
Prior to coming to volunteer, we ask that you please complete appropriate clearances, as we will be working with children.
Before coming to a volunteer block, there are 2 clearance forms that must be completed.
Once completed, email your clearances to [email protected] for our records.
